Jennifer was nominated by a patient’s family who described her as “an absolute gift.” The family’s mother spent nearly a month in the hospital under Jennifer’s care, during which time Jennifer not only provided excellent medical attention but also a genuine human connection.

“Jennifer was very patient and caring,” the family wrote. “She connected with our mother in a very special way. She would always get down to mom’s level to explain what she was doing or the meds she was giving to her. She would also explain everything to us as well. She was with her while the urologist was in her room and relayed what he had said since we (the family) were not in there. She always kept us informed, and we were very thankful for all that she did. Our mother celebrated her 99th birthday while at the hospital.”
