Her thoughtful actions significantly reduced his stress and allowed him to focus on healing.
I am honored to nominate Jennifer for the DAISY Award. Jennifer is an exceptional nurse leader whose influence comes not from a loud or commanding presence, but from her quiet presence, steady confidence, and deeply compassionate spirit. She is soft spoken yet profoundly impactful, and she consistently embodies the qualities that define extraordinary nursing.
Jennifer is deeply admired throughout our unit. Staff repeatedly share how much they value her dependable support, calm approach, and ability to bring steadiness in moments of change or uncertainty. During many transitions within CVC5, Jennifer has been the reassuring, grounding force that staff turn to. Her presence eases worry, provides clarity, and helps others feel cared for and understood.
Her compassion extends far beyond the walls of leadership and into the heart of patient care. In the past, we cared for a patient on CVC5 who was overwhelmed not only by his medical condition, but also by personal challenges involving his car, his pet, and other responsibilities at home. Jennifer quietly stepped in and made sure he had access to the resources and help he needed. Her thoughtful actions significantly reduced his stress and allowed him to focus on healing. This moment reflects the countless ways she supports patients and families, always with humility, respect, and genuine care.
Jennifer is one of the first to arrive each day and often one of the last to leave. She never seeks recognition for the many ways she uplifts others. Instead, she consistently puts her staff and patients first, offering guidance, advocacy, and unwavering kindness. She listens deeply, acts thoughtfully, and leads with integrity and heart.
Jennifer exemplifies what the DAISY Award represents: extraordinary compassion, dedication to patients and staff, and a commitment to nursing that is both inspiring and deeply human. Her quiet presence brings comfort, strength, and hope to those around her. She is truly deserving of this honor.
It is with great respect and admiration that I nominate Jennifer for the DAISY Award.
