Jennifer not only took care of my aunt, she took care of each of us as well, in providing us with long-lasting, peaceful memories of J.
My 55-year-old aunt was admitted to the ICU after an acute event. As her body grew more tired over the couple of days, it was determined that end-of-life care was needed. Jennifer was amazing and instrumental in providing the family with what steps would be taken and what to expect. Her care was beyond exceptional. She quietly removed IV lines and took away the tower of IV medications without disrupting the family as they were saying goodbye to their wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. She allowed as much time as was needed from each family member to share in their last moments with J.

Jennifer took the time to wash J's body and brush her hair, which was so comforting to the family to see afterwards. Jennifer not only took care of my aunt, she took care of each of us as well, in providing us with long-lasting, peaceful memories of J. When the time finally came to withdraw the ventilation, she worked swiftly with RT and the team, and once the vent was removed, she encouraged my uncle and their children to surround J with love and support. Only a short time later, after J had passed, Jennifer continued her professional and caring ways by showing her condolences and hugging each of us. She thanked us for sharing J with her. We are so grateful to have had Jennifer's care and support during one of the most difficult times in our lives. To say she is an exceptional nurse and person would be an understatement, and we could never thank her enough for sharing her gift of nursing and care with us.
