Where shall I begin? There is no specific act of kindness because Jennifer gives 110% of compassion and personal care from the first moment I see her in the morning to the end of her shift when she takes the time to say good night. Jennifer never seems to get frazzled and always remains calm, cheerful, and kind to me, other patients, and her coworkers. She advocates for my comfort from the little things to the bigger issues that come up, whether it is getting me my early morning cup of coffee to noticing my bandage needs to be changed, or my request to stop/start medications, to wanting to see the doctor, and everything in between, every time something comes up.

When Jennifer follows up by telling me what she did, she explains the next step and or what to expect. Several times during her shift, Jennifer pops her head in my room just to see if I’m OK and ask if I need anything. I have noticed her do this with other patients in the hallway during my coming and going to PT/OT therapy. I am not an eloquent writer and sometimes have difficulty putting my thoughts and feelings into words. However, I must give Jennifer recognition. Jennifer is everyone’s dream of the ideal nurse. She can combine the urgency of the ER nurse with the TLC patients need; this takes real talent. Her career fits Jennifer well I just want Jennifer to know that my positive Rehab outcome was made more smoothly and made more enjoyable because of my superhero nurse Jennifer.
