The first day I had her as my provider was a very emotional appointment. She gave me grave news about my health and told me that I needed to make drastic health changes. I had high cholesterol, fatty liver, and was extremely overweight. I weighed over 365 pounds that day. I decided to eat better and start working out, and then I saw my doctor 6 months later.

I lost 50 pounds and told her my goals of re-entering the military. She was super thrilled and worked with me until I lost a total of 151 pounds and re-enlisted back into the military. Without her tough words about how poor my health was and her encouragement, I would still be stuck in my rut. I am maintaining a good, healthy weight and have a successful career in the military. I owe her my life and my health. Thank you for all the support and encouragement along the way.
