After a very traumatic incident of domestic violence that required immediate emergency surgery, our team was called to meet with a patient recovering in the PACU. Our team was immediately greeted by Jenny who provided us with an amazing report. Jenny was able to speak with law enforcement and provide SANE with very important information to the case as well as provide us with the point of contact for the patient's lead detective. With this case being outside of Jefferson County, the information she was able to provide was very helpful and needed.

We were then introduced to the patient by Jenny. It was clear that Jenny informed and educated the patient on who was being contacted (SANE) and why, as well as the services SANE was able to provide. Jenny was incredibly attentive to the high emotional state and physical pain of the patient and provided her with comfort and assurance when it was most needed. Jenny was quick to help our team in any way needed, and in addition, was supporting the patient and patient's daughter. Jenny ensured that the proper safety measures were taken and made the patient a Do Not Announce prior to our arrival. Jenny provided the type of care and support that all patients deserve, but don't always get. It was the type of care you would want your own loved ones to receive.
