I was a patient on the cardiac floor this past weekend. I met my nurse early Saturday morning when she bounced in and introduced herself on her rounds. I knew I’d be going home, but the last test results were missing, and nobody took an interest in me. She would check in while providing for everyone else’s needs without skipping in between carrying out all of her duties. She was able to speed up getting the results I needed, so I was able to go home that evening! Jennifer is a pretty hyperactive lady! Some patients might be critical of this, but she was a very efficient multitasker who got everything done in a timely manner. She is also very compassionate. Her interest in me was very real, and she listened to me as an individual rather than writing me off as just another patient. She really addressed my concerns in a generous and efficient way, without neglecting anyone else.
