My husband was admitted to your hospital through the Emergency Room on Sunday. We were on the 7th floor. Our experience at the hospital was mostly pleasant (under the circumstances) and we felt that everyone we came in contact with was courteous, professional, and attentive to his needs. However, the reason for my email is to recognize an individual who went completely above and beyond her call of duty, Jennifer Agnew.

Jennifer has the best personality. She was fun and personable. She always had a smile on her face and brightened everyone's day. She was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. She made us feel as if my husband was her number on priority even though from the way she hustled through the halls I could tell she was extremely busy. The main reason I'm sending this email though is because even though taking care of my husband was her "job", taking care of me was not.

We really didn't know what was going on with my husband and even though he was feeling relatively well I was reluctant to leave him at the hospital that night. As I was finally leaving his room, I told Jennifer I was going and she stopped what she was doing to give me the number to the nurses' station where she assured me I could reach her anytime. I was so touched by her concern for me that I began crying. She gave me the biggest hug and walked me all the way to the elevators assuring me that he would be fine and she would take care of him. It gave me great comfort as I left the hospital knowing that she would be there with him.

However, her thoughtfulness did not stop there. She even gave me a phone call the next morning before I arrived back at the hospital to let me know how his night was just in case she finished her shift before I returned. I was completely blown away. Never had I had someone show such compassion for us during a hospital experience. I am so thankful for her and wanted you to know what an asset Jennifer is to your nursing staff.

Jennifer pours her heart and soul into her job and should be positively recognized for doing so. She made my husband's stay as comfortable as it could possibly be and provided exceptional care for both of us.
