It is with great admiration and appreciation that I nominate Jenny Finlinson for the DAISY Award. Jenny is a true embodiment of what it means to lead with compassion, excellence, and unwavering dedication. As the OB Shared Leader, Rural Ground Life Flight Lead, and Code Pink Lead, Jenny wears many hats—and she wears them all with grace, strength, and a heart full of service. It’s difficult to pinpoint just one moment when Jenny went above and beyond, because she does so every single day.

Jenny is constantly striving to make our hospital a better place. Whether she’s identifying ways to improve processes, supporting her coworkers, or advocating for patients, she does it all with a cheerful attitude and a genuine desire to help. Her kindness is felt by everyone she encounters—patients, families, and staff alike. She is a lifelong learner, always pursuing education outside of work and bringing that knowledge back to uplift and empower her team. Jenny is a natural teacher and mentor, precepting and training many new nurses with patience, encouragement, and wisdom. She never hesitates to jump in and help, no matter the task or the time.

Jenny is a ray of sunshine in our hospital. Her leadership is grounded in integrity, her actions speak volumes, and her presence inspires those around her. She speaks up for what is right and consistently strives to do her best—not for recognition, but because it’s simply who she is.
