A Veteran came to the unit for her monthly treatment. Upon entering, she became tearful and depressed. Jeannie consoled her and took her into a room where she spent the next 90-120 minutes. She ascertained that the Veteran was currently homeless and living in her car.

Jeannie coordinated with a social worker for homeless Veterans in order to set up a meeting the same afternoon, so that she could get housing. Jeannie completed the Veteran's treatment, took the Veteran to make sure she was able to get a warm meal for lunch and brought her back to the unit until her meeting.

During this time, she brought the Veteran a warm blanket and pillow because she was still cold from being in her car in the winter temperatures. After the Veteran had a small nap, Jeannie walked down to the social worker in building seven in order to make sure that she was taken care of properly.
