The moment Jay came into my room, I immediately felt a connection to her. Being in the medical field myself, I know how important it is to establish that comforting feeling with a patient. She is so kind and truly cares about her patients. She calmed my fears and reminded me to try and take it one day at a time.

She went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of. She made me a cup of tea at night, brought me warm blankets when I couldn’t sleep, and listened to me when I needed to talk about some personal things. I liked Jay so much that I requested her as my nurse any night she worked while I was there.

Jay is a tremendous asset to your staff on the bone marrow ward. Jay deserves this award! Jay will be one of those women I will never forget, as she has touched my life in much of a powerful and positive way.
