Jason advocated for our dad, getting him the care he needed.
I am writing to commend one of your nurses, Jason Sangster. Jason cared for my dad during his hospitalization. Our family was unable to visit my dad due to health and work-related issues. We were dependent on Jason and other nurses to keep us informed of Dad's condition. Jason was especially wonderful - he spoke to me and my brother on a group call several times. Most importantly, after the stent procedure, a doctor had approved discharging dad, but Jason noted that his vitals and condition were far from stable and that he couldn't even walk to the bathroom without his heart rate shooting sky-high and requiring assistance.

Jason advocated for our dad, getting him the care he needed, and in doing so gave my father a chance to regain his strength. This also provided us with the opportunity to ensure that dad had everything he needed to be successful at home including arranging for caregivers and ensuring that dad had the medical equipment he needed. My dad told my mother that he feared going home too soon and he did not want that. He wanted to do all he could to recover. Jason created the space for him to try and encouraged him every step of the way.

I just wanted you to know how compassionate, caring, and patient Jason was with my dad, and with us, and how much it meant to me and my family. It was a very difficult experience for our family not being able to be there with Dad, but I wanted you to know that Jason did everything he could to help us navigate the challenges and stay connected
