My husband has a low pain tolerance and a high tolerance for pain medications, so he can be very anxious and next to impossible to calm. I had to leave his side for several hours, and he was moved from the ER to 7 Main during this time.

When I arrived again, my husband told me, “This is the best care I’ve ever received in the hospital.” I got to witness this shortly after arriving at the unit – Jason CARES. Anything that could possibly make my husband more comfortable, he provided. He was always checking and changing things on time, no matter how busy he was, and preserved his dignity.

He kindly explains everything without medical jargon, so my husband can understand and feel calmer. He had fun personal conversations with both of us, and often we felt like we were talking to a lifelong friend. Jason makes everything better, easier, and as enjoyable as a stay in the hospital could be. He willingly and happily did everything my husband needed without pawning certain tasks off to other members of the care team.

You can see his passion and care for his work and patients in everything he does and says. He shows up. He always made sure I was comfortable as a visitor. I used to stay awake and make sure care was timely and exceptional… but with Jason as his nurse, I never had to worry. I knew my husband would be taken care of like I’ve never seen before.
