I would like to nominate Jaron for the DAISY Award for many reasons.  First, for the exemplary professionalism he exhibited in everything he did.  Second, whenever I pushed the call button he was in my room within 5 minutes.  No matter how often I needed help he was always prompt and friendly.  Third, he explained each and every medicine before giving it to me.  

The first day I was suffering from anxiety and he brought medicine to calm me as well as talked to me to relieve my stress.  He kept popping in to check on me.  What makes Jaron special as a nurse, and also a special person, is his ability to connect with the patient on every level.  Everyone in the unit was professional and friendly, but he was the one who made my stay pleasant and bearable.  I wish him the best in the future as he is extraordinary.

I had a bad experience two years ago in a hospital in Florida- they were quite unprofessional and showed little empathy.  They failed on many levels.  Jaron and others have revived my faith in hospitals.
