Jannie has shown an extraordinary level of compassion, patience, and kindness while caring for my grandpa. As he transitions to comfort care, she has gone above and beyond to ensure his comfort and dignity. She speaks to him gently, always taking her time to make sure he’s clean, comfortable, and at peace. Jannie has taken extra time to provide thoughtful touches, such as careful oral care and repositioning, never rushing through any task. What has touched us the most is how she extends that same care to our entire family—offering us drinks and snacks, checking in to see how we’re doing, and taking a moment to simply listen. In a time filled with sadness and uncertainty, Jannie’s warmth and compassion have been a source of comfort. She embodies everything a nurse should be—skilled, kindhearted, and deeply human. We are so grateful for the care she has provided and the peace that we feel leaving grandpa in her hands.
