We are honored to nominate this nursing supervisor, who truly embodies nursing excellence through her compassion and dedication. In a difficult situation, she spent almost two hours at a patient’s bedside while they were experiencing severe emotional distress and anxiety. Instead of rushing out, she stayed with the patient and helped create a calm, safe space. She used grounding techniques to help the patient feel more in control and acknowledge their feelings. She listened without judgment, making the patient feel heard, respected, and supported during a difficult time. Her calm approach and caring communication made a big difference in calming the situation. She went above and beyond by advocating for the patient’s well-being. Her actions exemplify leadership, compassion, and advocacy, making her truly deserving of the DAISY Award.
