• My wife had ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair, which proved exceptionally painful. Janette was by her side the whole time, remembering that her favourite drink was hot chocolate and reassuring her at every step. Janette stayed very late, many hours beyond the length of her shift, to care for my wife. She even moved her bed so that she could look out of the window to give her something to distract her from the pain. I can honestly say that Janette is one of the most caring, compassionate, yet incredibly professional nurses we have ever had the fortune to meet and be in her care. Words are not enough to explain the difference she made.
• Janette looked after us incredibly well. She made us feel comfortable and was so thorough. She was also warm and kind, and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks, Janette, for being so lovely and for caring for us so well.
• Janette was extremely efficient and kind throughout my treatment. I would like to thank Janette for putting me at ease for what may seem a basic procedure, but to me is extremely anxiety-inducing. It is the care and kindness that really make the difference, as well as just being really fantastic at your job!

• She went above and beyond to make sure I was always comfortable, and my pain was being well-managed; she was very proactive. Bringing in a fan to keep the room temperature down, etc., is very caring.
• I would like to say a huge thank you to Janette, the excellent nurse who looked after me so well at The Lister. Janette was like a very hospitable host who had invited me into her home. She was so easy to get along with and natural; it was as if we had known each other as friends for years. Janette was kind, caring, cheerful, friendly, very informative, and super-efficient.
She pointed out what was important (i.e., to wear the yellow nonslip socks in a friendly way - not bossy or authoritarian). This was important, as I think I would otherwise have overlooked them as an optional extra, in the pile of clothes, accessories, and I may well have slipped when I came out of the shower, back into the room. Janette was an exceptional nurse who went out of her way to be of help, and my words cannot convey the wonderful difference she made to my stay.
