Janeth stayed with me for 14 hours without leaving my side, not even going to the bathroom or eating. She could have asked for relief, but she didn't. She stayed there, and it was many hours that she spent by my side.
Do you know who Janeth is?

It all started on a Saturday at dawn when I went into respiratory arrest and was near death, code blue, everyone was shouting. I don't really remember anything, but since I regained consciousness on Wednesday in the afternoon, the medical staff, including doctors and nurses, have been checking on my progress non-stop. I felt deeply moved. Although I was unconscious, when I woke up, they started telling me what had happened. Everyone was asking me, "Do you know who Janeth is?" and I didn't remember anything or anyone. Then one of the doctors told me that when I arrived in critical condition, he entrusted Janeth to take care of me and always stay by my side.

Those hours were crucial in determining whether I would survive or not, and everyone was very nervous. What struck me was the nursing profession and all it entails. There are people like Janeth who do it from the heart, driven by a true vocation. She's a woman who had just given birth to her beautiful baby and always asked about my progress. I saw it as normal follow-up care due to my amnesia.

Janeth stayed with me for 14 hours without leaving my side, not even going to the bathroom or eating. She could have asked for relief, but she didn't. She stayed there, and it was many hours that she spent by my side. Once I woke up, I thanked her and said, "Sorry, I didn't remember you." Later, I found out about this nomination, and I did it as a way of showing my gratitude.

I'm very grateful to the nurses; it's incredible how they coordinate everything so well and are still super kind. I'm just describing what happened, and it's all thanks to Janeth. Although I arrived in critical condition, it's clear that having a strong foundation in their profession is essential for caregivers. But having that human side, which I experienced, was incredibly humane, coordinated, and kind.

I'm eternally grateful to Janeth and all the nurses. Since then, I understand why my family and friends were asking me...

"Do you know who Janeth is?"
