It has been a few months since my mother was discharged from BayCare HomeCare. I feel as though we are all finally able to relax and enjoy life as we knew it before “the fall.” Our BayCare primary nurse was Janet Williams.

Janet made us feel like we always had a professional and knowledgeable resource in our back pocket, no matter what came our way. Over the course of about six months, it felt like an emotional roller coaster and was draining emotionally and physically at times. Janet could sense our concerns and periods of deflation, and she would educate us and promote positivity while also advocating for what would be best for my mother’s care. She could incorporate a little bit of humor at just the right times to ease our tension. She built a wonderful rapport with my mother that allowed her to relax during the 3 times a week visits.

Janet had such patience dealing with all of us, never making us feel like our questions were silly, and would answer in appropriate terminology so we could all understand the information. We will forever hold Janet Williams in our hearts with such immense gratitude and will encourage others to use Baycare Homecare if they need home health because of Janet and all the staff that visited when she was off. Her impact on our lives during one of the most difficult years in memory is beyond words. Please let her know we still think of her often and appreciate everything she did. She was so kind, knowledgeable, a patient advocate during setbacks, went above and beyond during the more stressful times with wound care, and had the best attitude, which helped us because we felt so heavy-hearted. Janet kept our spirits up.
