The most rewarding aspect of working at Geisinger, according to Ms. LeDonne, is the people. The supportive and collaborative environment has fostered strong relationships with colleagues, who have become like a second family.
Ms. LeDonne began their nursing journey at Penn State Worthington, where they earned an associate's degree before returning to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Their career started at Moses Taylor Hospital, where they spent four years working on an Oncology Medical-Surgical unit. This foundational experience set the stage for their subsequent move to Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV), where they joined the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

Over the past decade, Ms. LeDonne has held various roles at Geisinger, including PCU Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator in the Cardiac Step-Down Unit (CSU), and positions in Nursing Professional Development. Currently, they serve as the Administrative Coordinator of GWV's Float Pool and Resource Management Center (RMC). This progression reflects their commitment to professional growth and their adaptability in taking on new challenges.

Ms. LeDonne chose to work at Geisinger because of its status as a non-profit hospital dedicated to quality care and staff well-being. Their previous experience at a hospital that transitioned from non-profit to for-profit within two years of their tenure highlighted the importance of working for an organization that aligns with their values. This realization solidified their decision to join Geisinger, a place where they felt their dedication to patient care and professional integrity would be valued.

The most rewarding aspect of working at Geisinger, according to Ms. LeDonne, is the people. The supportive and collaborative environment has fostered strong relationships with colleagues, who have become like a second family. These connections have not only enriched their professional life but have also played a crucial role in shaping them into the nurse they are today. Ms. LeDonne is grateful for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated team and looks forward to continuing their journey at Geisinger.
