Thank you for all the singing, laughing, and smiling. You are one of a kind, and I will never forget you.
Jane took the time to explain biologics to me and answered all my questions with ease.

Ms. Jane has provided exceptional nursing support during my stay at Mt. Vernon Hospital. I found her professionalism and caring to be exceptional. Her exceptionalism in care is outstanding, and she is an ideal candidate for this Award.
I would like to take this moment to thank her for the quality of care she provided to me, and she is a true professional whom other nurses can learn from. Her exceptional care helped me to recover quickly, and she is a true example for other nurses to learn from .
***
The singing nurse. She has been absolutely wonderful. Her kind soul and gentle hands put me at ease. She was working on my arm for over an hour trying to get an IV in, and she sang to me, told me beautiful stories, and helped me through. I even helped her with the new songs. She goes above and beyond for you. There needs to be more Janes in this world.
***
You are one of the kindest, purest souls I have ever met. You have made this time in the hospital much calmer, and just your touch put me in a better place. Thank you for all the singing, laughing, and smiling. You are one of a kind, and I will never forget you.
I only wish that the world had more of you and needed more of you.
When I was in a lot of pain, she changed the lyrics of Sheryl Crow’s song “If It Makes You Happy” to: “If, in case, you’re crampy, you better take the Oxy, and then you know it’s not so bad.”
I have colitis, and I love Madonna’s song “Material Girl,” and she changed the lyrics to: “Living in a colon world, and I am a colon girl.” To the point that I even made a version for her: “Soft hands, strong soul, Jane’s got the magic touch that makes you whole.”
You radiate kindness and bring happiness to so many people, especially me. She truly deserves this award.
***
She exemplifies extraordinary dedication to patient care, consistently anticipating and addressing complex needs with unparalleled compassion.
For instance, she could pacify or calm down confused and combative patients. She even sings to them and always goes above and beyond to ensure that patients feel safe, heard, and respected. She always navigates challenging patients and family situations with remarkable grace and professionalism.
On the other hand, her commitment extends to our team, encouraging us to advance our careers on the clinical ladder, not just for 4C staffers but for float pool nurses as well.
Her unwavering impact on both patient well-being and staff development makes her a truly deserving candidate for this prestigious honor.
