Her attitude was always positive and professional, and she carried it out with a smile and a caring heart.
Arriving at Maryview Medical Center, I was taken to my assigned room. From the atmosphere, I knew I would be well taken care of and not to worry. I was immediately greeted by my attending nurse, Janae, who entered my room good morning, a smile, and an introduction. She completed her routine questions and explained to me what was going to occur regarding registration, labs, and a visit from my attending doctor. Although she wore a disposable respiratory mask, I could always see a huge smile on her face.
Throughout my stay at Maryview Medical Center, the entire staff was very pleasant and personable. I was never treated as a number or just a person. Everyone cared for me as if I were part of their immediate family. During my admission, Janae attended to all my needs and requests with utmost care and professionalism. Her attitude was always positive and professional, and she carried it out with a smile and a caring heart. Her bedside manners should be a model that all medical personnel should follow. As I was being discharged, she explained the discharge instructions to me and stated, “Take care, it was a pleasure to be your nurse, and if I needed anything, don't hesitate to contact the hospital.” My stay at Maryview Medical Center was a very pleasant experience, and I received the care I needed. This pleasure was due to her and the staff at the medical center.
As I was leaving the parking lot, I observed her approaching and what appeared to be looking for something or someone. In fact, it was me she was looking for. She motioned for me to stop, and as she approached, she said I had left my cellular telephone charging cord behind. This may seem small, but this is another example of the caring attitude that she has, and she should be commended.
She is an asset to your medical center. She retains the attributes, knowledge, and personable and caring personality that all medical personnel should possess.
I would like to personally say “thank you” to her for everything she did for me and made my stay at the medical center a very pleasant one. I hope that if I ever need to revisit the center for another medical issue, she will be assigned as my nurse. I will never forget the care she provided me.
