Jana Zimmerhanzel is an exceptional RN who is always willing to go above and beyond when needed. On several occasions when L&D was at capacity and nurses were stretched thin, Jana from NICU went above and beyond. She offered and helped us out greatly by coming to the unit when she had a spare moment to help us in any way she could. Quite a few times, that meant being a baby RN in the OR when we didn't have a second nurse to be able to run a case in a timely manner. She helped us to remember that we can always do one more thing to make a patient's stay better. No matter what unit we work on, we are all one team and must work together for the well-being of our patients. Jana takes this to heart. She sets such a positive example of what being a nurse at the Woman's Hospital of Texas should mean to us all.
