Jan went to work getting our girl ready for Transport.
Our 19-month-old daughter was struggling with complications from RSV in Boise and needed to get to a hospital with an ECMO machine. Our doctors and nurses in Boise did all they could to keep her stable so she could make a flight to Primary Children's, but things did not look good. We prayed that the crew that came to transport her would provide the miracle we needed . L and Jan were an answer to that prayer and the miracle that our little girl needed.
As soon as they came in, they went to work with a sense of confidence and urgency. L took in all the information from our care team in Boise, and Jan went to work getting our girl ready for Transport. As they were wrapping up their preparations to go, our Doctor pulled me aside and told me that they are the best transport crew he has ever worked with, and they are exactly what we needed to make the flight. During the flight, the decisions they made actually helped N's sats to go up. They were compassionate, optimistic, and encouraging the entire time we were with them, and they have come back to check in on her multiple times during our stay. My wife and I know without a doubt that N is still here and will have the opportunity at a full, normal life because L and Jan decided to work late; they were supposed to be off, but decided to come get our girl. They are the miracle that we prayed for and needed, and we will be eternally grateful for both of them and their service to our family!
L was very familiar with the vent strings N was on and had ideas of how to improve them. Both L and Jan were very decisive in every move they made, all while exuding a calm and hopeful demeanor. They are so kind and caring ,and stayed calm and knew exactly what to do. Please tell them thank you for their service. We are so grateful for them and their kindness!
