I was admitted over a week ago due to an emergency surgery. Jamilla was my nurse for the first night and she was so kind and attentive; especially as I was panicking about the procedure I underwent. Each night I was here, I hoped that she would be the nurse assigned. She was always concerned about my level of pain and did everything she possibly could to make my stay more comfortable.

Jamila also advocated for me several times: such as reaching out to my doctor to acquire additional medication to help with gas pain I was having post surgery. Each night I hoped to see her on my care team. the level of care and reassurance Jamila provided was above and beyond. She always explained everything in a way that was easy to understand.

She was attentive to my family and ensured that they were comfortable and she even checked in on the nights I was not assigned as a patient to her. I will forever be grateful for all Jamila did during my stay. She made an extremely scary situation so much easier to navigate.
