When Jaime started her shift, I had already been in labor for about 27 hours with little progress over the last 12. I was induced, exhausted, and overwhelmed, and my anxiety, which I have struggled with my entire life, was beginning to take over. From the moment she walked into the room, Jaime brought a sense of calm and focus that grounded me. She didn’t rush my husband or me or focus only on the monitors; instead, she took the time to truly get to know us. She sat with us for well over an hour, listening, asking thoughtful questions, and learning what we needed emotionally as much as physically. Jaime used different techniques to help reduce my anxiety, meeting me exactly where I was and making me feel genuinely seen and heard. Her presence alone was reassuring, and her care helped me relax in a way that directly impacted my labor. Shortly after she took over my care, my daughter was born with no complications.
