Jami utilized her professional relationships, years of experience, and vast knowledge to assist us in ensuring that we were taken care of. Without Jami, I am not sure how well these procedures would have gone.
My wife was expecting to have our baby in May. When we went to the doctor a month later, we were told to go to the hospital now to prepare for induction. After 38 hours of inducing labor, we met Nurse Jami, with the promise that "I will get that baby out". The level of understanding, effort, cleanliness, professionalism, and understanding was simply unmatched. As of this point, we had 4 other nurses, all of which were great, but not for Jami. I do not believe my daughter nor my wife would be here on this day without Jami. My wife had no desire for a c section, but Jami approached it in a way that showed genuine care, yet "motherly" understanding. She made it very clear that what she wanted was what we all wanted, a healthy baby, and mother. Nothing else mattered to Jami (or at least she gave us that reassurance). Jami let us make informed decisions and also ensured that she was there as an emotional support person as well. At no point was there a question of Jami's intentions, work ethic, or ability. Jami assisted during the C section, and then gave the proverbial "cheer squad" for my wife to continue into recovery. When it was found my wife would need a magnesium treatment, Jami was the first face we saw on the L&D side and again gave us the hope we would be in good hands. Jami utilized her professional relationships, years of experience, and vast knowledge to assist us in ensuring that we were taken care of. Without Jami, I am not sure how well these procedures would have gone. For lack of better words, Jami was God's gift to my family and life, ensuring a healthy daughter and mother made it to the other side of a difficult procedure. Thank you, Jami.
