She always showed up extraordinarily compassionate, kind, and playful, helping to make the complex, yucky, and scary end-stage COPD a moment of peace, knowing we were not judged but just loved.
Jaclyn had my Mom on her hardest night when she was in significant respiratory distress, combative, cognitive, not aware of AOx1, and the worst I have ever seen my Mom.

Jaclyn and the respiratory therapist listened and helped my Mom recover and not go to the ICU. My Mom required almost all of Jaclyn’s time, and I know it made for a long, hard, challenging shift. Yet despite the difficulty, Jaclyn remained compassionate. We had Jaclyn a few more times, and she always showed up extraordinarily compassionate, kind, and playful, helping to make the complex, yucky, and scary end-stage COPD a moment of peace, knowing we were not judged but just loved.

Jaclyn would have had every right not to ask for Mom back when she was anxious, disgruntled, combative, challenging, fearful, and not cognitively aware. Yet Jaclyn treated us with excellence and as if we were family. I am so grateful for you, Jaclyn.
