Recently, my daughter was a maternity ward patient at Summit Healthcare. This is her third baby to be delivered at your hospital. So over the past eight years I have had the pleasure of meeting many of the nurses that work or have worked in the maternity ward. Along with my career of 35 years as a police officer, I have either been a patient or worked with many nurses.

Once in a long while an individual stands out and makes an impression on me. I would like to say that Nurse Ivy is that one special person. I spent the day with my daughter hoping she would have her baby so I was able to observe and interact with Ivy all day long. What a gem! Ivy has a personality that is infectious to making a person feel good and to know everything is all right. Ivy is very knowledgeable and has a gift of being able to pass that knowledge along to the patient [and family members] which gives everyone a sense of calm and understanding of what is happening.

Ivy answered every question and told us things we wanted to know before we asked or knew we needed to ask that question. As I said, a pure gem! There are many great people working at Summit Healthcare but I wanted to compliment and commend Ivy. She truly is one of those people that makes a positive impact and impression on a person. Ivy is a fantastic representative of Summit Healthcare.
