I haven’t met many who have been very consistent. I’ve known Iveta for a long time. From the day we met until now, she has remained the same kind, sincere, caring, giving, compassionate, and helpful nurse she is.

Every time I float to her unit, she ensures that I am welcomed, helped, and comfortable. She has a warm smile and a thoughtful voice that makes you connect and feel important. The same way to her patients. It doesn’t matter if the patient is alert or confused; she makes them feel secure and attended to. Recently, when she floated in our unit, she advocated for her patient who’s been having uncontrollable pain; she reached out to the doctor multiple times, updating and reassuring the patient each time.

The patient doesn’t seem to care about anyone and eventually wants to leave AMA. Iveta demonstrated respect and compassion to try to resolve the conflict and continue to provide above-and-beyond care. She amazes me, is graceful, and carries herself well in a difficult situation. Iveta is a role model; she can be a bedside nurse or work as a charge nurse.

Iveta is diligent about the care she provides and works to find solutions to problems affecting patients. Nursing is a demanding job, but it can also be gratifying.
