I was admitted into the Med Surg unit via Emergency very early on the morning of March 18, 2025, in terrible pain and very confused about not only my condition but also why I was being kept in a pre-surgical ward. The staff who took care of me on my first day also seemed to be unsure why I was there, understandably. They were great at meeting my physical needs, but still left me confused and apprehensive.

Early the next morning, I was awakened to meet the nurse on duty for the day and was almost immediately set at ease about not only how I was feeling but also that I was finally going to be not only listened to but also be upfront and honest about what was going on. Instead of talking "at" me, she actually talked to me. She let me know about the meds she was administering, why, and how I should expect to be feeling while taking them.

When she finished each visit, she took the time to ask if I had any questions or concerns and showed genuine interest in learning more about me than just my injuries. Not only did Iuliana take excellent care of my clinical needs, she also made sure I understood everything I had questions about.

Iuliana is a natural care provider and a truly amazing person. I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to not only be looked after by her but also be put at ease in the open and honest conversations about some of our life experiences. I truly believe anyone who falls under her care will be healed in more ways than just one.
