Isabella Arbona, BSN, RN
Isabella quickly established a special relationship with both my daughter, who was her patient, and her little sister during our stay. She continually went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was comfortable during dressing changes of her surgical incisions. While all this was occurring, Isabella often had a nurse intern along with her, and it was evident the intern was adopting some of Isabella's stellar professional practices.
The biggest impact Isabella had on my daughter's care came on our second-to-last night. Her skin broke open on her bottom and was extremely painful. Isabella came in and immediately got to work looking at the sores and critically thinking through the best barrier cream to use in this situation - a cream I had not seen in our many inpatient and outpatient stays. Not only did her presence calm my daughter while she put on the cream, but Isabella also provided great education on how and when to use it going forward.
On a floor full of great nurses, Isabella stood out with the level of care she provided to both my daughter and our family.
