Irene has provided nothing but the best care since being assigned to me. Not every RN takes the time to hear what their patients are going through, considering their own workload. However, she heard me, took the time to explain care, reached out to doctors when I was confused, and even coordinated doctors and team to be in the same room together. In addition, she went above and beyond to calm my parents when they didn't understand care and when I couldn't explain. She has truly made this hospital stay feel less like a hospital and more like a means to an end. I have been in and out of hospitals my whole life, and to finally experience genuine care from an RN at 24 years old says a lot. I appreciated her patience with my emotions and frustration, as well as her gentleness and ability to seek the best care for me. She made me feel seen as more than a person with a list of health complications and as a human being who is also sick. We need more RNs like her in the field - she deserves to be praised and recognized for "doing her job." She is not an RN who comes in for just the paycheck - she comes in for the patient. Making me laugh and giving me the will to live another day. Praise her as she praises her patients. She's amazing!! Great choice having her on your team.

Irene is extremely hard-working and always goes above and beyond not only for her patients but also for their family members. Irene is an amazing preceptor and is always willing to help out fellow staff members. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed Irene do her patients' vitals, feed them, and clean them to help out her care partners. This nurse is the perfect example of a nurse to emulate.
