They are a true team, not one takes all the credit, they all do. A real class act of professionalism and kindness, and lots of T.L.C.
If there is any comfort with cancer, the infusion nurses are the ones to help you through. They make your stay as comfortable as possible. They inform you of what procedures are being done. So I, as a parent, understand. They hold your hand and help you calm down. To receive chemo for the first time is a scary situation. These nurses are with you every minute, every step to show you they also care, you’re not just a patient. They truly go beyond expectations and it’s not just one nurse. It’s the whole unit. When you’re in the treatment room the nurses will sit with you and you become family for your time of treatment. I’ve never met such positive individuals in my life. They are a true team, not one takes all the credit, they all do. A real class act of professionalism and kindness, and lots of T.L.C. The word cancer is hard to take. This department gives you a feeling you’re not alone, you have lots of support and each nurse has their own way to help you and I’ve grown a bond with all of them thru the years. They are all extraordinary nurses. Special thanks to Ruby, Judy, Diana, Christine, and Jacob.

The whole infusion department is a family that makes us with cancer feel that we are not just a patient. They give us the care to help us through. It’s not easy having cancer but these nurses sit with you and give us support with our treatment. They know us and they take the time to care. When I started chemo treatment, I was so scared and nervous. I was not sure what I was in store for. When my first day came and was shown my room, Ruby sat with me, held my hand, and explained every step before they started. She took time and also gave me a calmness as a patient and my spouse. Judy spoke to my spouse and answered all her questions and assured her I was in good hands. It was then I saw how they shared the care and passion they have for us as patients. They are truly the definition of a team. They take pride in their work, and they do it every day with love. They go way above and beyond expectations. They care!!! I still receive treatment. I see Diane and Christine, they are always so positive and take time to go over your treatment on this day, always smile, and are very professional. Jacob is hands-on with lab work and patient care. After your first conversation with any of them, you have a friend for life. There is a team here and this whole department is a class act.
