My grandmother has liver disease, and she frequently ends up in the emergency department for different reasons. Every time we come to the emergency department, Hunter is usually here. He always takes great care of her, treats her with much dignity and respect, he listens, he cares about her, and how she feels.

He always takes our concerns very seriously and expresses that to advocate for her to the doctors and staff. Not only does he take very good care of her, but he also ensures that her family is cared for, and we have what we need as we accompany her on these visits. She comes to the hospital for weekly paracentesis as well. This is where she gets a lot of medical care for her cirrhosis; she’s in the final stages.

Hunter makes the illness's difficulties more bearable just by being there and caring. He makes us comfortable and makes us feel supported, seen, and heard. We love him.
