I honestly feel like if it wasn’t for Holly's care and compassion and for Holly listening to me and taking me seriously, I would’ve had a much different outcome that night.
I was at home when I began to haemorrhage with my miscarriage. I tried ringing an ambulance, but the service provider couldn’t make out what I was saying, so we headed to the hospital by car.

We were ringing the hospital over and over again, trying to get in contact with the gynae, but to no avail. We told the staff member who was answering the phone for the hospital that night what was happening, and they told us they would have a wheelchair ready for when we pulled up. When we arrived at the hospital, I was in severe pain and bleeding out.

The person who accompanied me went back to the A&E reception desk and tried telling them again the severity and that I needed help as soon as possible. That’s when Holly, the A&E nurse on duty that night, came to the rescue. Holly took me straight into the nurse’s office to be assessed, and within seconds, she had me on a bed and had all the necessary medical professionals brought in to help my case.

It wasn’t long until I was rushed for an emergency D&C to stop the bleeding. I honestly feel like if it wasn’t for Holly's care and compassion and for Holly listening to me and taking me seriously, I would’ve had a much different outcome that night. I had a few amazing nurses, as well as Holly that night, whose names I wish I remembered, but Holly will stick with me for the rest of my life.

She is a truly amazing and caring nurse who provides nothing but the best service. Holly deserves recognition for her hard work. She was more than caring that night and very sensitive to my situation. Holly made me feel somewhat comfortable on one of the worst nights of my life.

Thank you, Holly, you are a true angel.
