She reminded me that I am not alone. I still to this day believe that's what kept me going and staying positive throughout the rest of my stay.
I had been here at the ABHU for a week and many nurses were amazing, but the one that stuck out the most was Ms. Holly. Ms. Holly had been very caring and sweet to me my whole stay, but the moment I knew she was my favorite, and most connected nurse, was when she sat with me when I was sitting alone at my window. She noticed I looked a little upset. Ms. Holly came over and didn't have to ask what was wrong.

My very close friend had been discharged and was also decently close with Ms. Holly as well. The first words that she said to me then was that she had never seen my friend that I had made at BHU, more happy and well behaved and calm, until I got here. Those few words made me feel instantly better because I did miss him, but Ms. Holly telling me that, made realize I wasn’t that only one who felt better in that friendship. He did too.

After she told me this, she didn't leave me and instead proceeded to talk and comfort me. She also started talking to me about how well I am doing and then she started talking more with me about random things and made me feel so important and cared about. She reminded me that I am not alone. I still to this day believe that's what kept me going and staying positive throughout the rest of my stay.
