On Thursday, 26th December 2024, our 91-year-old mother was admitted to the Emergency at Mediclinic, Newcastle, KZN, South Africa. The process was smooth, and the personnel did everything in their power to make her comfortable. After surgery the next day, our mother was moved to the ICU in the same hospital where our Sister Heather Govere was assigned as her personal carer.

Sister Heather went out of her way and beyond her responsibilities, not only to keep our mother as comfortable and pain-free as possible but also to ensure the family was regularly updated and informed of Mother's condition. Her compassion, respect, and tenderness towards our mother will never be forgotten, and the comfort it gave us, as a family, will always be treasured deep inside our broken hearts. Sister Heather is not only a passionate and professional nurse but also a very kind and compassionate soul. She inspires confidence in the Mediclinic hospitals and humankind.
