Heather is such a caring, empathic, patient, and detail-oriented nurse. She always goes above and beyond with the work she does every single day. She never hesitates to offer a helping hand in any way, shape, or form. Heather has been caring for a patient who had a re-admission due to a lack of education about his G tube. Heather went above and beyond in explaining his G tube care and instructions.

During his stay, she would encourage him to be independent with his care. When his discharge orders were placed, she knew what to do to make sure he succeeded at home. She took extra time out of her day to write a detailed schedule for the patient to follow at home. Once she sets a goal, she knows how to get there. This is just one of the many times Heather jumps through hoops to ensure patient success. I am very proud and honored that I get to call her my coworker and be her orientee.
