I would like to nominate Heather for the DAISY Award in recognition of her extraordinary compassion and dedication to patient care. Recently, Heather went above and beyond for a patient who was being discharged home on Hospice. From the very beginning, Heather provided this patient with incredible care, treating her not only with clinical expertise but with deep kindness and dignity. Heather took the time to ensure the patient and her family were fully supported during this emotional transition. She coordinated closely with Hospice services, explained every step with patience and clarity, and made sure the patient's comfort was always the top priority. She didn't just do her job; she did it with heart.

Even in the busiest of shifts, Heather sat with the patient, held her hand, and made sure her final moments in the hospital were filled with peace, not fear. The family expressed immense gratitude for the comfort and compassion Heather showed them, and it was clear that her presence made a lasting impact. Heather embodies everything the DAISY Award stands for. Her care was not only exceptional, but it was also inspirational. She is a nurse who truly makes a difference in the lives of her patients and their families every single day.
