Heather Bankert, RN, ADN

Heather Bankert showed great compassion for my son, who has been a patient of Carle BroMenn Hospital on several occasions. Heather demonstrated real concern for his medical condition both in the hospital and by continuing to encourage him as he entered rehab. He remains motivated to make real change because of her consistent efforts and her confidence in him. He has never been more motivated to continue through the ups and downs of rehab than he is now.

I was fortunate enough to overhear a compelling conversation that Heather had with my son in the hospital. I witnessed a moment of her commitment to helping him see a way forward and giving him courage to persevere. Heather is the voice of reason and the epitome of compassion. But, even more impressive, is her conviction and her commitment to that conviction -to see a young man turn his life around.
