Hannah Hebner, RN
I developed severe preeclampsia at 28 weeks pregnant. Due to my preeclampsia, my daughter was born prematurely when I was 29 weeks pregnant. She was immediately taken to the NICU, where she had many amazing nurses who provided excellent care for her.
Hannah was one of the most competent and caring nurses who cared for my daughter during her time in the NICU. At one week old, my daughter developed an infection and began declining rapidly overnight. Hannah was the nurse who took care of her when she began needing critical care.
Hannah was so attentive to my daughter and made sure that my husband and I were updated every step of the way. She also assisted the doctors in several complex procedures in attempts to save my daughter's life.
Unfortunately, my daughter passed away due to complications from her infection. Hannah was the nurse who made sure we were able to hold our daughter in her final moments. She also provided end-of-life care to my daughter with so much compassion.
She handled the situation with so much care and it truly made all the difference to my husband and I while we were going through the trauma of losing our daughter.
I can't speak highly enough of nurses like Hannah who work tirelessly to provide exceptional patient care with grace and compassion.
