Because of Hannah, we felt protected, seen and cared for as a family.
I would like to nominate Hannah because of the extraordinary way she showed up for our family during one of the most vulnerable moments of our lives. After our baby was born, my wife experienced a postpartum hemorrhage. In a matter of minutes, joy turned into fear. Hannah was focused, composed, and completely present. She monitored my wife closely and worked seamlessly with our Dr. There was no panic in her voice, and she acted without hesitation. Her competence was unmistakable.
At the same time, she never lost sight of the fact that there was a newborn baby and a frightened husband in the room. While caring for my wife, she ensured our son was safe and stable. And she also made space for me. She explained what was happening in clear, steady language. She helped me breathe again. What impressed me most was not only her clinical skill, which was exceptional, but her ability to hold the emotional weight of the room. She carried strength without being cold. She carried empathy without losing control. In a moment that could have defined our memory with fear, she brought steadiness and trust. Because of Hannah, we felt protected, seen, and cared for as a family. That is something we will never forget.
