June 2026 Honoree
Hannah Correia, RN, BSN
I would like to recognize RN Hannah, who works on the fifth floor at the St. Luke's Hospital location. Hannah played an instrumental role during the weekend that my aunt was recovering from a fall and hip injury. It was a very difficult weekend for her health-wise, and Hannah's care truly made a difference.
From the moment she began caring for my aunt, Hannah brought positive energy, professionalism, and compassion into the room. She worked hard to build trust and a genuine relationship not only with my aunt, but also with me and my wife, as we spent much of that weekend at the hospital. She was direct when needed, but always kind and respectful. She consistently took the time to answer questions thoroughly and generously, never making us feel rushed or dismissed.
Most importantly, Hannah demonstrated sincere empathy and genuine concern for my aunt's well-being. I truly believe she played an important role in helping my aunt turn the corner during a challenging time and ultimately make it to rehab the following Tuesday.
When I think about what the DAISY Award represents, Hannah exemplified those qualities completely. She was professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and deeply caring toward the patient she was serving.
She made a meaningful impact on my aunt and our entire family during a very difficult time.
Thank you, Hannah, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
