Hannah was in triage when she felt like something wasn't right with a parent's response. Hannah proceeded to call 911 to do a welfare check after the parent abruptly left. Police were able to track them to that hospital, where they discovered the baby with multiple injuries and infection.

The family member who called just wanted us to know that she was so thankful someone at St Teresa's cared enough to call the authorities. Hannah undoubtedly made a difference in this one baby's life. There is something incredibly powerful about choosing to act. Most times, we don't know the outcome, and without this call, we wouldn't have known either.

I am so proud of Hannah's courage to listen to her gut that morning, and we are so lucky to have her on our team here at St. Teresa.
