I am honored to write this letter in strong support of Nurse Hanan Hafeez, who played an extraordinary role in my father’s recovery following his recent surgery. As someone with a PhD in biomedical engineering, I have great respect and appreciation for the medical professionals who provide both technical expertise and compassionate care. Hanan went beyond my expectations, leaving a lasting impact not only on my father but also on our entire family. One particular moment that stands out occurred during the difficult post-surgical recovery when my father was struggling with pain management and anxiety.
Despite the excellent surgical care he received, he was having a hard time adjusting to his new condition, feeling overwhelmed by discomfort and the unfamiliarity of his situation. Hanan recognized his distress and took the time to sit with him. Not just to administer medication, but to provide genuine reassurance. She spoke to him in a calm and comforting manner, explaining each step of his treatment in a way that empowered him rather than frightened him.
