Her demeanor and friendly character created a comfort zone for my wife and me as we shared some family stories while maintaining a proper nurse-patient relationship and remaining the professional she truly is.
Haley Prince was assigned as my nurse for my surgery, and she carried out her duties flawlessly. It was like winning the lottery! I first met Haley as I entered my assigned room, and she asked about my driver as my wife had stepped out for coffee. Haley said she would like to have my wife present when she briefed me on what to expect that day. Haley made at least two trips to the lobby to find her and was able to locate my wife so she could participate in the briefing. As you would surmise, her briefing was thorough, and she was willing and able to answer all of our questions, which she handled effortlessly and clearly. Haley made a great first impression.
Obviously, in a procedure such as mine (Heart Ablation), sensitivities can be an issue, and Haley exercised excellent discretion. A nurse must stay alert and pay attention to details, and I found Haley Prince to be well up to the task. It was Haley who ensured that I got something to eat, including a bowl of ice cream during my 4-hour recovery, and she was quick to address and respond to our medical and personal requests, keeping us informed at all times.
