I delivered my daughter under circumstances I never expected, and I truly believe I wouldn’t have made it through without Nurse Haley Jean by my side. From the very beginning of my induction, when I unexpectedly began to hemorrhage, Haley stayed with me—calm, steady, and reassuring. She didn’t leave my side, and she spoke to me in a way that helped me breathe through the fear. I knew in those moments that she was fully present, fully aware, and fully committed to keeping me safe. When my birth suddenly turned into an emergency C-section that required me to be put under, I was terrified.
