I am writing in recognition of Nurse Haley Brady, LPN, for her exceptional compassion, creativity, and dedication to her patients. Haley consistently goes above and beyond in her role as a nurse to advocate for her patients, and her care for one patient in particular recently demonstrated the profound impact of her kindness and thoughtfulness.

During a recent stay at our facility, Haley cared for a mentally challenged patient who had a deep love for Elvis Presley. Haley made it her mission to bring joy to his experience. She left her personal cell phone in his room, playing Elvis music for him. When she realized this wasn't the most practical solution, Haley reached out to the team to see if there was a better way to make it happen. We were able to set up an old cell phone connected to a speaker, allowing the patient to enjoy Elvis music throughout his stay.

She then went out of her way to bring in her own personalized life-size Elvis display into his room, completely brightening his day and filling his stay with excitement and happiness. It was clear how much this thoughtful gesture meant to him, and Haley's ability to make him feel seen and valued was truly remarkable.

Even when the patient was no longer assigned to her care, Haley continued to check on him every day and visit him, ensuring that he felt cared for and supported throughout his lengthy stay. Her compassion and personal connection went far beyond the expectations of her role, leaving a lasting impact on both the patient and those of us fortunate enough to witness her care.
