My mother was admitted for a-fib for one week. Haleigh was her nurse on discharge day. Obviously, coordinating all the meds, doctors, and last-minute things prior to discharge can be time-consuming, and issues may arise.

Haleigh is exceptional in listening skills, follow-through, and compassion. She addressed each concern, and it required calling the pharmacy for a different label on the meds being sent home and calling cardiology for further discharge instructions. Tikosyn is a very specific drug for heart issues, and when I told her that the assisted care facility would need very specific instructions, she immediately went into motion to help with this request.

At no time was there attitude, frustration, or any negative behavior. Instead, she thanked me for telling her what we needed. She deserves this award because her behaviors are just who she is! Any patient is lucky to have her as their nurse.

My 90+ aged parents have been in and out of the hospital plenty over the last couple of years. Haleigh stands above the others whom I have experienced during this time.
